Peggy Sloan

I was born and raised in the small farming community of Walton, Ontario, in beautiful Huron County. I am so very grateful to my parents for all their hard work, love, and dedication that they provided for me and my siblings. A teacher at heart, I have obtained an Early Childhood Education diploma from Lambton College and a degree in Child Studies BA, B.Ed. from Brock University. I returned home to marry my high school sweetheart and ever since we have been on an incredibly beautiful journey together, working through difficult times and celebrating the many good.

Since I was young, I have always been interested in taking photographs. For me, there has always been something magical about capturing a moment in time, showing appreciation for every moment we breathe. I have taken what I have learned about photography and combined it with my own innate awareness and beauty of nature to produce the photographs that I love. As I continue to aspire in my photography, I enjoy experimenting with shutter speed, aperture and exploring diverse landscapes and subjects. It always amazes and mystifies me that the same landscape can transform at any given moment with angles, special lighting, weather affects, and my own perspective and emotions. My photography truly allows me to express the energy I personally feel, in connection with nature’s beauty.

After teaching for over 21 years, overcoming and experiencing life lessons, I am more than pleased to be able to share my photography with others, in the hope that they also experience inner tranquility through the eyes of my lens.
